More like "No Speed racer!" Amiright? Like the second "Star Wars" trilogy, pretty much everything but the actors looks like it was computer generated. Made by the creators of "The Matrix," "Speed Racer" is both visually striking and headache inducing. If you've wanted to see a movie that looked like a video game or a cartoon come to life, this is for you. Some of us older viewers might be a little woozy. The story, which involves a lot of racing, is inconsequential. A fine cast is mostly overshadowed by the copious CGI. British actor Roger Allam rises above by embracing the sardonic evil of his role (and seemingly channeling Christopher Hitchens). Matthew Fox is the mysterious (and boring) Racer X. It's not a good movie really, but it will keep you entertained if it doesn't burn out your retinas first.
