May contain spoilers. This movie starts nice, flows just right until something quite unusual—more like awkward and unlikely—happens: a Jewish mother puts her small son deliberately in the hands of the Nazi. As a mother I know any normal mother would rather die than harm her children. The character never showed any signs of abnormality throughout the entire movie, so her change was so abrupt and unlikely the entire movie crumbled afterwards. And the family friend telling a teen boy, who obviously had certain issues, the horrid story of his brother is so cruel its unlikeliness just makes it worse; and the boy never having any sequels from this experience is another unlike outcome. It seems to me the author did not know how to insert the new wife in the story and created that ridiculous situation. He lost me completely and the visual joy was not so great as to pale these and other mistakes.
