I always enjoy a book by Joshilyn Jackson. This one is a darker theme than the others I've read but still tells the story in a light, offbeat manner. The struggles of facing one's past is key throughout. I don't want to give away anything but this book focusses on the faith and courage to stand up to yourself, face yourself and believe in yourself; to walk into your future strongly and with awareness. Loved Natty and Walcott. Joshilyn Jackson knows how to write good characters.
